Our No-Gi grappling classes are among the best in the valley. No-Gi is a variation of traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, however, participants wear shorts/t-shirt, as opposed to the traditional Kimono/Gi, hence the name “No-Gi.” No Gi grappling tends to include more wrestling takedowns and has some technical differences from traditional BJJ, as the use of grips, or handles, is minimized due to the lack of gi.
The pace of No-Gi grappling also tends to be a bit faster than traditional BJJ. If you are looking to learn or compete in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), No-Gi training is essential for proper preparation, and is a great stepping stone to amateur competition. Our coaches are taught by college wrestlers, professional MMA fighters, and high-level Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners.
