Our beginner classes will introduce you to the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu jitsu. You’ll learn the basic techniques that will give you the ability to start building your own game.

WHAT IS BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art created by the legendary Gracie family, who combined traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu with Judo, and implemented more ground training. BJJ focuses largely on grappling and ground fighting and utilizes natural body leverage and proper technique to obtain dominant control on the ground and, as a result, provides greater position for striking or submission holds. BJJ has been proven, when used properly, to be an effective method for dealing with bigger and stronger opponents, and can be trained for self-defense or sport. Traditional BJJ is performed in a gi and has belts, which identify a practitioner’s skill level. At Fight Ready we offer both traditional Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) “with Gi” as well as “no gi” Jiu Jitsu, which is geared towards MMA.
